GrammaTech Awarded 10 New Research Contracts Totaling $2.27M

ITHACA, NY — GrammaTech, Inc. announced today that in the last 3 months it has been notified of ten contract awards totaling $2.27M. Six of the awards are SBIR Phase-I projects, with a total Phase-II potential of $4.5M a year from now. One of the awards is a prestigious HSARPA research contract. These ten new projects augment two $750K SBIR Phase-II awards in April and June of 2004.

All of the work focuses on static program analysis of source code and binaries and leverages GrammaTech’s earlier groundbreaking work in the field. In particular, the company’s CodeSurfer® program-analysis platform, which is the result of many years of research, is being used as infrastructure for constructing advanced applications rapidly. These applications include detecting vulnerabilities in both source code and binaries, hardening programs to thwart attackers, hardening programs with anti-tamper techniques, finding bugs automatically, refactoring code automatically, and extracting software architecture information.
